Vietnam veterans here in New York City have our Wall in the Vietnam Memorial Plaza with the letters home written by some our fallen brothers in Vietnam. They are etched on the walls glass bricks. Gold star mothers, fathers, brothers and sisters come every year on Vietnam Veterans Day to reflect on the lives of their departed loved ones. Sometimes they leave a letter telling how much they are still loved and missed. And sometimes they leave a yellow rose. But seldom are the sons and daughters of our fallen heros heard from. I searched and found some Dear Dad in Heaven letters. Although they are not Vietnam era, they express the deep feelings young sons and daughters have for their missing parent. Read them, and when you're done, if you don't have a lump in your throat or a tear in your eye, you just ain't human.
